Married.

It was a cool winter night. I was in bed, watching Youtube videos on my laptop. It was especially peaceful outside, and a slight breeze swayed the curtains from time to time. The Mrs. had dozed off to sleep a few minutes ago, and I had some time off to myself. I love being married, but sometimes I miss being single. Therefore, whenever my wife is out, is asleep or generally not in the vicinity, I do single-guy stuff. Don't get me wrong, that just means lazing around, watching videos, playing computer games and the like.

So anyways, I was watching some random video, and I felt a slight tug at my arm. I glanced to my left, and she was fast asleep. Yet, in her sleep, she was trying to hold my hand. I stuck out my thumb and slowly brought it close to her outstretched palm. Like a baby, she gripped it tight and held on to it. A small smile escaped my lips. It was as if I had my own little baby, looking to me for comfort and solace. In that instant, I felt just a little bit more of an adult. I forgot all about the video, and spent the next half hour watching her sleep, while her hand gripped my thumb tightly; before dozing off to sleep myself.

Married life rocks.
